  • Heat strokes

The lawn or the garden looks just perfect for a picnic or a play but the most obvious problem is the heat. Staying outside for longer hours can cause the pet to feel dehydrated and uncomfortable. Heat strokes are very common and those with black coats, respiratory issues and short snouts have a greater risk of experiencing a heatstroke. The best way to deal with the situation is by keeping fresh water available for the pet. While lounging outside, if possible, a battery operated fan can work wonders to make them feel cooler.

2-  Sunburn and Paw-burn

Just as us, pets get sunburns too. The best way to avoid their skins from getting burnt is by applying vet recommended sunscreen creams.

During the hottest hours of the day, dogs can also burn their paws while walking on the heated pavement which can be avoided by not taking them out during those hours or making them wear dog shoes.

  • Motion sickness and respiratory problems

Planning a long road trip sure sounds extremely fun but is your pet used to it? Staying on the road for very long periods of time can make them feel sick. The best way to overcome this is by taking them for shorter drives every now and then which can lead up to longer trips. Safety always comes first and so, they need to be secured in a well-ventilated crate to avoid them from facing respiratory problems. The crate should be large enough for them to stand, sit, turn around and lie down so as to ensure a comfortable ride for them.
